Over here in the US, we love British people. We love their humor, their accents, music, everything. I am not afraid to admit that I too fall into that category of “typical American who likes British things”.
However, I think there is something that has recently come up that needs to be addressed.
If you haven’t been living under a rock, you all know that Prince Harry recently married Meghan Markle (America woo!), and the topic of most front page news is that she is now pregnant…
I am sorry but, who cares? Again, I think this matter was raised here on Community previously, but aren’t there more important things we can be discussing?
How about the aftermath of the Indonesian earthquake? The famine in Yemen? No?
News really is all about what garners the most views, and unfortunately I guess a lot of people adopt the mindset of “well if it isn’t happening in my country, I don’t care”. – this is hypocritical cus, well, why are you watching a royal wedding and fantasizing about a royal pregnancy?
Anyway, what I want to say is, there are far more important things to worry about, regardless of whether or not it is happening next door.
We are all citizens of the same planet, and should work together to make it amazing.
It all starts with awareness, and this pregnancy, I’m sorry to say, means nothing in the grand context of things.
