‘Dohon’ is not releasing this Eid
Asian Age: Much anticipated film of Jazz Multimedia ‘Dohon’ was supposed to get released in the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. However, the film is not going to be released due to pending work, confirmed the director Raihan Rafi.
“We did not want to rush to give such a film which has technical flaw,” said the director.
“‘Dohon’ is a very big budgeted film. The post production work has been delayed as the film has lots of VFX sequence.
So it is taking time to make it perfect,” added Rafi. However, the director is hoping that the film will won the hearts of people even if it is released late.
Even before shooting, the film raised many controversies. At first Badhan was casted to play a journalist’s role in ‘Dohon’. Later she stepped away from the role due to personal reason.
After that Purnima was casted. ‘Dohon’ was supposed to be her comeback film. However, due to negative portrayal of her comeback in the media, Purnima later stepped away from the role as well. Later Zakia Bari Momo was casted to play the role.
