Daily Observer executive editor Anis Ahmed passes away

Sabah Mannan: Exec-utive editor of The Daily Observer, Anis Ahmed passed away yesterday morning at the age of 64 in his Mohammadpur residence.
Family sources confirmed that the former Chief of Correspondent and Dhaka Bureau Chief of Reuters breathed his last at about 8:30 am. He left behind his wife, daughter and a son, reports UNB.
The veteran journalist’s first namaz-e-janaza was held at the Jatiya Press Club after Zohr prayers and he was buried in his family graveyard in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria.
The National Press Club President Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman and its general secretary Farida Yasmin expressed profound shock at the death of the senior journalist.
