Four Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims die in Saudi road crashes
Sabah Mannan: In separate road accidents at Saudi Arabia, four Bangladeshi pilgrims died and nine others were left injured. The deceased were identified as Julhas, 50, Rashed, 65, Abul Bashar, 65, and Rashedul Islam Babu, 55. The injured are SM Abul Khayer, 41, Tarif Irtija, 12, Momtahin Islam, 18, Mosatara Akter, 43, Nazmul, 39, and Shafiul Alam, 36, Mustarina Akhtar, Muntahin Islam and Zarif Iftejar.
According to family members and Bangladeshi migrants, the road accidents occurred on Tuesday. Around 7:30am local time, Julhas, Rashed, Bashar and Shafiul were on their way to the Jeddah airport when a wheel of their microbus exploded, causing the accident which left everyone dead on spot except Shafiul. The victims were on their way to the airport to fly back home after performing umrah hajj, reports BDnews24.
