9 more killed in anti-narcotics drive

Raj Abrar: Nine more suspected drug peddlers have been killed in countrywide anti-narcotics crackdown from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning, according to Banglanews24 correspondents from Rangpur, Kushtia, Cumilla, Feni, Gaibandha, Lalmonirhat, Thakurgaon, and Jamalpur.In Kushtia, two drug dealers Fatik alias Gaffar Sheikh, 37, and Liton Sheikh, 40 were killed in separate ‘gunfights’ with police in Kumarkhali and Bheramara upazilas, said Abdul Khaleq Officer-in-Charge of Kumarkhali police station.
In Rangpur, a listed drug dealer-Md Shahin-was killed in Hajirhat area of Rangpur sadar upazila, according to Saifur Rahman Saif, additional police superintendent of the district. A sack of Phensendyls, and local arms were seized from the spot.
