This upc-oming bu-dget is very important for us. It will determine our income-expenditure for the coming year as well as its sources an allocation.
I hope the finance minister (FM) will keep focus on all the important aspects of the budget. Financial sectors, including the share market, needs to be strongly focused. Incentives on the sharemarket need to be delivered by the FM since it plays an important role in country’s economy. The 2010 share market collapse led to some investors to fall out of their gears.Since then, the sector could not turn around of the situation properly. Although high hopes were speculated when Dhaka Stock Exchange partnered with China, it is far way from coming effective. This may be possible if corporate income tax is reduced in the upcoming budget.
Increased opportunities may kick in with the increase of development budget. What bothers me is investment from the service sector is decreasing constantly. The public-private partnership concept was a good one. Some development on this concept might make the infrastructure sector more productive.
Hopefully, the upcoming budget will be able to meet our expectations. Although such a thing does not happen very often, we trust the government. It is what is behind adopting and implementing the policies required.
The blooming pace of development of our country can be boosted if allocations in all sectors are raised as planned. I hope the government will formulate and implement the budget considering all these issues.
