Sofian Khan: The Sup-reme Court (SC) will deliver its verdict on the two appeals against the High Court (HC) bail order for BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
The verdict was originally supposed to come yesterday till Attorney General Mahbubey Alam delayed by a day after coming up with some more arguments.
After hearing the arguments, a four-member bench of the SC, headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, fixed today for delivering the verdict on the appeals.
The HC granted Khaleda a bail on March 12 before the Anti-Corruption Commission with the government moved the appeals before the Appellate Division of the SC challenging the bail order.
The HC granted her a interim bail for four-month considering her age and health issues after the special court released the full verdict.
