Whatever it’s named, quick announcement of Cumilla Division demanded
Riku Amir: At an award-giving ceremony organized by the greater Cumilla (Cumilla-Brahmanbaria-Chandpur) Journalist Forum, it was stressed that whatever the new Cumilla division is named, it has to be established as quickly as possible. The Chief Guest at Sunday afternoon’s reception event was MP and Railways Minister Mujibul Haque. According to the Prime Minister’s Information Advisor and journalist leader, Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, the premier right after taking power decentralized the administration, it in order to expedite development of the country. Railways Minister Mujibul Haque, Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor Abdul Mannan, Daily Amader Orthoneeit Editor Nayeemul Islam Khan and Bangladesh Protidin Editor Noyeem Nizam were also awarded. National Press Club General Secretary Farida Yasmin and Daily Amader Orthoneeit Acting Editor and first ever female journalist in Bangladesh Nasima Khan Monty were both given awards for achieving extraordinary accomplishments as female journalists.The rest addressing the event presided by Forum President Syed Akhter Yusuf were: Nasima Khan Monty, Senior Journalist Mahmudur Rahman Khokon and Press Club Acting Secretary Saiful Islam etc.
