Tripura CM phones Sheikh Hasina, seeks cooperation

Tri-pura’s newly elected Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb phoned Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday and sought Bangladesh’s cooperation for Tripura’s development. Biplab Kumar made the phone call before he took oath as the first BJP Chief Minister in the Indian North East state, according to PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim. In response, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina assured him of Bangladesh’s cooperation, recalling the cooperation of the people of Tripura during the 1971 Liberation War. BJP state president Biplab Kumar Deb was elected the new chief minister of Tripuraon Tuesday.
