Veteran BNP leader and the party’s standing committee member Moudud Ahmed yesterday mentioned Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s vote campaign illegal.“It is illegal seeking vote for her party as she is now incumbent prime minister of Bangladesh,” Moudud said at a discussion organised at the National Press Club. He said, Prime Minister Hasina cannot seek vote with the assistance of government facilities. Moudud added, AL is not able to arrange a neutral election because “they know they will be defeated by a big margin”. “It is true that the party fears to face general people,” – reports the Daily Star. The BNP leader said that the 20-party alliance led by BNP chief Khaleda Zia will be able to restore the country’s democracy and people’s vote right. The program was organized by Bangladesh Youth Forum over the demand of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s release from jail.
