175 community clinics closed: 10 thousand people deprived of health care.

Community Health Providers in movement to claim demand. Their demand for nationalization is going on in their movement programs. The grassroots health workers have been disillusioned with their movement. Community Health Care Provider (CHCP) working in community clinic has been working as a part of the central program for four days.
As a result, the healthcare services of 175 community clinics are closed due to not going to the CHCP community clinic in Maulvibazar district. The health service of the grassroots has broken down, and about ten thousand people are being deprived of health care.
It is known that, as a part of the central program, CHCPs stopped the clinics from 20 January and took position in front of every Upazila Health Complex in the district. On 23 January, the protesting CHCP has been standing in front of the District Civil Surgeon office till the report is written. Moulvibazar District BMA president said that the meeting of the CHCPs was held in solidarity with the program.

Besides, more than 100 CHCPs including Moulvibazar (Sadar), Kulaura, Sreemangal, Kamalganj, Juri, Barlekha and Rajnagar Upazila President-editors were present.
Founding General Secretary of Sylhet divisional CHCP Association AKM Jaber said, in 2011, the community clinic recruited 14,000 CHCPs in the country. He said, the Honorable High Court asked the government to take necessary steps for their job security but still did not implement them. We are looking forward to the Prime Minister. Moulvibazar District Civil Surgeon Satyakam Chakraborty confirms the fact that the work of the CHCP has been done.
It is a matter of decision of the government. We have directions to the Health Assistant working in the Health Department to conduct community clinic operations in alternate ways.
It is to be noted that on January 18, the central convenor Shahidul Islam and Chief Adviser Kamal Sarker of the CHCP Association announced the sit-in program along with the workshop for nationalization of the job at a press conference in Dhaka Reporter’s unit. In the initial phase, the sit-in program is going on in upazila and district and the sit-in program will be held in front of the National Press Club from January 27 to January 31.
