Theresa May terror plot foiled, two charged

British intelligence has foiled an alleged terror plot of making an attempt on British PM Theresa May’s life by using an improvised explosive device disguised as a bag to blow off the Downing Street gate and attack her with knives, was planned by Islamist extremists. This plot was revealed on Tuesday by MI5 head, Andrew Parker during a briefing to the cabinet members. According to him, this is the latest of 12 terror plot, those have been foiled in the last 1 year. Two men were arrested on suspicion of plotting to kill the PM last week named Naa’imur Zakariyah Rahman, 20, from north London, and Mohammed Aqib Imran, 21, from Birmingham. They are due to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday. Though, A Scotland Yard spokesperson declined to confirm that the arrests were linked to a plot to attack Ms May.
