KM Nurul Huda, the chief election commissioner on Wednesday said that if the government decides to hold snap election, Election Commission is prepared for it. Following up a meeting with the European Union (EU) delegation, the CEC made this statement. Nurul Huda said that the EC will receive a deadline of 90 days for the election if the government at first decides for a snap election. He also said that the EC is prepared for such – reports Banglanews24. Mentioning the process for expatriate voters, the CEC said it is a complicated one. Postal ballots have to prepare for casting their votes. Although positive feedbacks from the expatriate voters have not been received, electronic voting machine (EVM) can make the process easier. He also added that the EU delegation is satisfied with the election preparations and EC will also invite foreign observers before the election commence.
