Ministry of Education handed over the implementation of upgrading the primary education level to class 8, to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. But, it halted right there. Thus, it has led to uncertainty of institutional curriculum of newly  opened 637 experimental public primary schools of class 6 to 8.
Meantime, primary school teachers’ council’s president Aminul Islam said, they do not have enough space to facilitate the students of class 8. Neither do they have enough manpower. It is mandatory to improve the infrastructure & addition of new teachers, before this project can be implemented, he added.
Hence, Ministry of Education has sent a letter to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, announcing the cancelation of this project. For now, the primary schools would only teach up to class 5.
