Nov 7 rally, BNP reschedules rally on Nov 11
BNP rescheduled their rally on November 11. Earlier they planned to hold it on the 8th in the capital’s Suhrawardy Udyan. They sent a letter to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) for permission few days ago. Now the date has been rescheduled due to ongoing Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference, the party’s joint general secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told media yesterday. Another letter has been sent to the authorities for the same venue, he also informed. The party will hold the rally to mark November 7 as National Revolution and solidarity day. Rizvi said BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is set to pay tribute at the mausoleum of the party’s founder Ziaur Rahman near the parliament today. However, it is a day of massacre of freedom fighters to the ruling Awami League.
