There shouldn’t be any ghost in 134 service sectors of 23 ministries: Cabinet Secretary

Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam has advised the field officials to remain vigilant in the 134 service sectors under 23 government ministries. He said that under the social security program, allocation of Tk 54 thousand crore has been allocated in fiscal year 2017-18. This allocation is more than 13 percent of the national budget. The Cabinet Secretary made the announcement while inaugurating a day-long workshop titled “Social Security Program in Poverty Alleviation” organized at Silver Castle Hotel, Dulali, Mymensingh.

Mohammed Shafiul Alam said that under this project the people of the victims of poverty should be brought under this project as well as for the poor people without implementation of the program. For this reason, the reverse name of the nepotism given by the public and the public representatives should be avoided. He urged the officials concerned to create a hunger and poverty-free country with poverty reduction rate of 15 percent by 2021 and the officials of the field administration, public representatives, journalists and NGO representatives. SSPS Program Deputy Secretary Mohammad Khaled Hasan presented the keynote paper in the day-long workshop organized by the Cabinet Division and the management of Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner’s Office. Presided over by Divisional Commissioner of Mymensingh GM Saleh Uddin, Additional Secretary Abdul Wadud was special guest at the workshop.
