The process of sorting the drug control department (DNC) started. The process of submitting a proposal to increase the manpower of the organization is underway. Besides, the Department of Narcotics Control (DDC) has also taken initiatives to exchange list of drug dealers among police-RAB, BGB and other detective agencies to arrest drug dealers and stop free movement of narcotics.
According to the DNC sources, currently the manpower of the Department of Narcotics Control of the whole country is 1,705 people. Of these 953 posts are manned. The rest are empty. With the help of few people, the department is struggling to control drugs from all over the country. Now the initiative has been taken to increase manpower from the department. As part of this, work is going on for a proposal of 8,400 people. Which will end in a day or two. The proposal will be sent to the Ministry of Interior in the first week of next month. In the new proposal, it is suggested that the position of an additional director general, four posts in the rank of 8 directors, and the rank of 16 directors in each division, including the post of director of each department. According to the new proposal, there are intelligence units in every district. Besides, the formation of drug addiction centers in every district has also been mentioned, and the formation of a unit of DNC at railway stations and naval ports.
