Supernumerary teacher in the Department of History and Former Department Chairman at the University of Dhaka, Syed Anwar Hossain thinks that Bangladesh’s politics will turn around in the future even if it is currently facing hurdles. He remarked that Bangladeshi nation cannot be held back and the political situation of the country will improve by 2025. In an interview conducted by Lipi Parvin, Syed Anwar Hossain said “In the light of Bangladesh’s history, it has been seen that Bengali nation has always been ahead.” In this context, he mentioned the description of the development of human race in history from a book called ‘History of the Idea of Progress’, written by Robert Nisbet. According to Syed Anwar Hossain’s opinion, the country has to carefully mind the 47.6 lakh youths who lack proper environment for life and livelihood. The country must take measures to develop education system for youth in order to save the future of politics in Bangladesh from setbacks. Syed Anwar Hossain believes it was solely because of the contribution of righteous individuals that we became an independent nation and at present, good individuals have lost the interest to take part in politics as it failed to attract them like it had successfully done in the past. Will rightful people be seen taking part in the future of Bangladesh’s politics? Well, it all depends on the condition of politics.
