Agricultural sector’s contribution reached down to 14.75% from 18.38% in past 7 years, reports Ministry of Agriculture. Meantime, industrial sector’s contribution toped 31.28% from 26.78%. Dhaka Chamber of Commerce calculates the GDP of agricultural & industrial sector’s respectively, 1,487.45 billion taka & 10,380 billion taka. Also, other service sectors’ are adding 54% on avg. National income due to foreign help is only 1%.
Though, industrial growth is much appreciated. Researchers are also urging to help the save agricultural sector as well. It’s because of this sector market discouragement, daily goods’ prices are currently all time high. River erosion & Real Estate companies are taking away the cultivation lands. Unfortunately though, the growth & aids are failing to tackle the negative effects equally.
