Countrywide Flood Affective Capital’s Green Markets

Countrywide flood’s affect is currently at the most crucial condition. Jamuna, Dhorola & Brahmaputra river water levels are over the critical level. Flood condition in the northern areas still have not improved.
Prices of the goods in the green-markets are going over the roof. Meat prices are rising high also, as if balancing out the difference. In the meantime, the rice-market still is not stable. Consumer general public are very much tensed in buying daily necessities.
On average, all the vegetable prices went high by 8 taka per kg. A crisis of greeneries were observed in all the markets. Cucumber & green-chili price went high overnight. Current price of green-chili is 120 taka per kg.
Meanwhile, broiler at 180 taka, beef at 500 taka & lamb being sold at 700 taka per kg rates. Though, egg price was 32 taka per hali for quite some time.
Miniket rice been sold at more than 5 taka than before. Retailers are blaming the mill-owners for the non-decreasing price of rice.
Though sugar price is bit lower. Onion price also under control, selling at 55 taka rate.
