Transportation cost is going over their reach and they are failing to keep up with their schedule as well. Now, most are fearing of failing to meet their end of exporting deals.

Majority of the garments industries are situated in and around Dhaka. But, 80% of the garments goods travel to Chittagong for shipping. Unfortunately, the Mongla port is non-usable, claim the owners.

Owners are demanding for ensuring a safe & usable route to the Chittagong port. The current highways connection between Dhaka, Gazipur, Narayanganj & Chittagong is so poor that, waterlogging is very common during the rainy season. Also, the ditches and basins on the roads raising the transportation costs by tenfold.
