Unfortunately, with the increasing number of Tuberculosis (TB) patients, authorities are forced to place highly-contagious Multi-Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB) patients in the wards of general patients, says helpless in-charge nurses to Amader Orthoneeti.
National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital (NIDCH) only have 144 beds. Still, they have treated over 28, 052 patients from 2008 – 2017. Their beds are always filled year around.
