Written by: Eshan Maitra

Undergoing multiple therapies & treatment methods are only creating more health complexities among the cancer affected children. The tensed & concerned parents are trying out all the possible ways just to ease their child’s pain or for miracle to happen. But these are only making things critical for the child patients. Thus, death is becoming more inevitable in cases of cancer affected children. Experts are suggesting to create separate blood-disease & cancer departments at divisional levels.

Institutions such as Ahsania Mission offers cancer treatment only at 90 thousand taka, while it takes more than 3 lacs at other places, informs their Managerial Director Brig. Gen. Dr. Fazle Rahim.

Still, parents are going to places from Kabiraj & Homio treatment etc. These cases can be found from poor to higher class citizens. Experts say that, this is highly due to lack of public awareness. People needs to familiarize with, what cancer is. Also, they should be informed about the facilities hospitals already have in Bangladesh.
